The ICB and NHSE restructure threatens the service’s diversity

I’ve written a piece for the Health Service Journal arguing that:
Large-scale restructures are precisely when fragile gains on diversity and inclusion are most at risk.
Processes often described as “neutral” - such as redundancy criteria or performance appraisals - are anything but. They can reproduce existing inequities and amplify bias.
Without explicit accountability and an equality lens applied from the outset, restructuring can undo years of progress and drive out exactly the leaders the NHS most needs to keep.
